POSITION SUMMARY:
The Duquesne University College of
Osteopathic Medicine (DUQCOM) invites applications for a medical school
Administrative Coordinator for Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine (OMM). This
position requires someone who is professional, energetic, and highly
service-oriented and will be responsible for assisting the OMM department in
coordinating student and faculty schedules. The primary duty of the
Administrative Coordinator for OMM is to maintain, process, and communicate
information related to the OMM curriculum. The Administrative Coordinator for
OMM ensures the completion and maintenance of student attendance, scheduling
adjunct faculty for lectures, and submission of course material to the medical
education department. The qualified applicant
must possess excellent communication, organization, multitasking, customer
service, flexibility, and teamwork skills, and be able to work in a fast-paced
environment.
The position
reports to the Division Chief of
OMM.
DUTIES AND
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develops and maintains syllabi,
evaluations, schedules, etc. related to the OMM course using approved software
including Canvas, One45 (Acuity Insights), and other software platforms used in
the tracking and delivery of the OMM curriculum.
Collaborates with the Clinical Affairs
department staff and faculty, medical registrar, students, and others in the
COM to ensure timely and accurate communication regarding student schedules,
assignments, OMM curriculum, evaluations, and grading.
Orders and maintains supplies related to OMM
curriculum and lab space.
Organizes and maintains updated
documentation related to OMM partnerships including contacts, clinical faculty
appointments, and creating and maintaining faculty schedules.
Creates schedule and assists with OMM
practical.
Work with IT department to record OMM
labs using mediasite and upload them to the OMM canvas page.
Proctor OMM question review session
through exam soft prior to final exams.
Assists with the planning, execution,
and summary reporting of OMM curriculum including reports needed for quality
improvement, assessment activities, and accreditation reporting.
Coordinates and disseminates a variety
of internal and external communications and
records in support of the student’s
OMM educational experiences. Accurately maintains current student records while
maintaining confidentiality.
Provides day-to-day support to the OMM
Department and other departments as needed throughout the COM as it relates to
OMM education functions.
Tracks, updates, and works with
responsible parties to achieve DUQCOM outcomes related to the Mission of the
COM and the University.
Participates in on and off-campus OMM
Development and Education as needed.
Represents DUQCOM, the OMM Department,
and the University favorably and following established core values and
expectations.
Participates in on and off-campus
events related to the COM including White Coat Ceremony, Graduation, and other
key events.
Serves on College and University
Committees as assigned by the OMM division chief.
Completes other
duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited
institution
1+ years of customer service
experience

Ability to multi-task
Microsoft Office Suite expertise: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access,
and Publisher as well as Outlook e-mail
Knowledge of,
or the ability to learn internal University systems
Willingness
and ability to utilize new technologies relevant to the position
Preferred
qualifications:
1+ years of higher education-related
work experience preferred
Previous work experience in a medical
school setting
